guideines for making caps

Please make Cancer/chemo beanies using your own patterns or the ones we have available.

They ask that hats are made with very soft yarn, not wool as some are allergic to wool.

Carron Simply Soft yarn, or Bernat baby yarns both work really well for the chemo beanies

and for preemie hats which are sometimes needed.

Softer yarns: cotton, baby yarn, soft worsted are more comfortable to wear, and cotton is really nice for summer.
Thinner, seamless (crochet or knit in the round), non-lumpy caps for sleeping/increased comfort on the recipients heads.
Please use yarns without WOOL content.
Please wash and machine dry hats before sending, as this will often soften them.
Do not use scented fabric softeners as many people are allergic to them.

Welcome
